From Wikipedia: The Golden Filter are an electronic duo based in Brooklyn, New York. Lead singer Penelope grew up in Byron Bay, New South Wales, Australia, while disco and analogue synth programmer Stephen is from Ohio, USA.

Their first single was Solid Gold, was released on 15 February 2009 on the Dummy Records label, and is also available as track 9 on the album Infinity +1 by A-Trak. Its video was filmed in Australia, near Melbourne. They have also released remixes of We Are The People (Empire of the Sun), New In Town (Little Boots), Lay It Down (Peter Bjorn and John) and Far Away (Cut Copy).
