I know this song is close to a year old but it’s totally B.A. I heard this song earlier in the summer in the trailer for 500 Days of Summer. It was on ok movie but not as good as Adventureland. These guys are from one of the best cities I have ever been to, Melbourne Australia.
Volcano Choir – Unmap
Who doesn’t like side projects? Volcano Choir is a collaboration between Collections of Colonies of Bees and Justin Vernon of Bon Iver. The debut LP “Unmap” is set to be released on September 22.

Tiësto feat. Tegan and Sara – Feel It In My Bones
Kaleidoscope is the fourth studio album by Dutch trance artist Tiësto, to be released on October 6, 2009. The album contains collaborations with Nelly Furtado, Emily Haines of Metric, Tegan and Sara, Jónsi of Sigur Rós, Kele Okereke of Bloc Party, and Calvin Harris among others. The album also features a song with Sneaky Sound System which is the first single “I Will Be Here”.
Whom ever this Tiesto character is and what his role in this music is, whether it be production or just merely spinning the tune at some douche convention in the cheesie part of town, he certainly knows how to pick his collabos.

Broken Social Scene in The Time Traveler’s Wife
My beautiful girlfriend dragged me took me to see The Time Traveler’s Wife the other night and much to my surprise I was greeted by Broken Social Scene performing a rendition of Joy Division’s song “Love will tear us apart”. And this wasn’t just background music, nope, the actual band was performing the song during the couples first dance at their wedding.
I have to say, this is a great cover of an already great song and the scene couldn’t have been filmed anymore perfect. The movie wasn’t at all what I expected and I would actually recommend you go see the film with your significant other. You’ll get brownie points for taking her to a chick flick, that actually isn’t a chick flick but a somewhat dark and edgy film that deals with a naked time traveling adventuresome librarian.
I’m sure having Broken Social Scene as your wedding singers is Brand’s wet dream but this might be as close as he ever comes to getting them to perform.
