Emancipator is a hip-hop producer from Portland, Oregon. His debut album “Soon It Will Be Cold Enough,” was released only in Japan in 2006 and sold approximately 5,000 copies in the first 6 months. But thanks to a loyal underground following and his epic mashup “Shook” (Mobb Deep and Sigur Ros), Emancipator has built quite a following and in April 2009, Shook appeared as the 2nd most popular song on Hype Machine.
