Yim Yames – My Sweet Lord
My Morning Jacket lead singer Jim James (under the pseudonym Yim Yames), released the album Tribute To consisting entirely of George Harrison covers. The EP was released as a digital download via his website, on July 7th, 2009. The album was released as a CD on August 4th, 2009. James recorded the album in December 2001 on a relative’s eight-track reel-to-reel tape recorder, just days after Harrison’s passing.

Flight of the Conchords – Carol Brown
From one of my favorite shows of all time. As it is better to burn out than it is to fad away, this show has ended after two seasons. The fellas just couldn’t force themselves to produce new material. Nonetheless, Brett and Jermaine are releasing their 2nd full length and here is my personal fav off the album. My favorite line has to be when Keitha the Aussie explains the reason why her friends don’t think she should date Jermaine as, “probably because I’ve rooted better fellas when I’ve been too drunk to speak.”
