Two From BSS
Here are two videos from Broken Social Scene. The first is the holographic release of Forced to Love. The second is a bit of protest video of Meet Me In The Bathroom, released to coincide with the G20 summit in Toronto held this past summer. I will be seeing them in Central Park next month…stoked!
King Charles – Love Lust
What a beautiful song from this English folk-pop band. Such true lyrics.
Ra Ra Riot “Keep It Quiet” (Preview)
Ra Ra Riot one of my favorite bands from my homeland of Upstate New York have their sophomore album The Orchard coming out August 24th. Here is a preview of what’ they’ve been up to. Their first album is so good that it has my “our song” on it.
Sleigh Bells – Rill Rill
Sleigh Bells is an American noise pop music duo. The group released their debut album, Treats, on May 11, 2010. They are signed to M.I.A.’s N.E.E.T. Recordings.
GOBBLE GOBBLE – Where is My Mind (Pixies Blasphemy)

“GOBBLE GOBBLE is a vulture of the spirit, tearing away at the carrion of the soul. GOBBLE GOBBLE lives on the faultline between suits and destitutes, and it is from this isolated perch, impelled by the terror of a dayjob and utterly prostrate beneath the looming monolith of abstracted death, that he gathered his eggs together, prepared the nest that would become their home and began carving words into their sides. This nest, set gingerly on teetering high-rise stilts, encircles the flesh fruit that make up his debut album Neon Graveyard.”
I have no idea what that means.
They’re from Canada and their MySpace page is pretty cool.
Avi Buffalo – What’s It In For?
Avi Buffalo is a Sub-Pop signed band from Long Beach California. Does that mean they know Snoop? Their name has Buffalo in it. Does that mean it has hot sauce on it?
