24 Bit has a live clip of James Mercer playing a new Shins song live in Portland. According to the band they are working on the new album and this is one of the songs that should be on the record.

In honor of Record Store Day, Cults will release “Abducted” a limited edition 7″ vinyl on April 16th. The bands highly anticipated debut release is due out May 31.

Chicago based California Wives is responsible for one of our favorite songs of 2010 – “Blood Red Youth“. And after listening to their new single “Tokyo” it looks like the band will easily make our best of 2011 compilation. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to see California Wives at SXSW, but I heard they played several great shows.

According to the band, “Tokyo” will not be on the upcoming LP “Affair”. If that’s true I can only imagine how good this album will be.
