Here’s a radio rip of the new Fleet Foxes song “Battery Kinzie”. After hearing this and the amazing title track “Helplessness Blues” I don’t think there’s any chance this album will be anything but amazing. The new album comes out in the US on May 3 on Sub Pop records.

Robin Pecknold - Fleet Foxes

Here are 3 new songs from Fleet Foxes frontman Robin Pecknold. “I’m Losing Myself” features Ed Droste from Grizzly Bear and “Where Is My Wild Rose” is a cover song from Chris Thompson.

These aren’t Fleet Foxes songs, but I didn’t know where else to disseminate it. Pretty mellow jams. – @fleetfoxes

Fleet Foxes – Helplessness Blues

Fleet Foxes Helplessness Blues

Helplessness Blues is the title track from the upcoming Fleet Foxes album, out May 3rd in the US. After hearing this song I can’t wait for the rest of album. Robin Pecknold may be one of the best lyricists in indie rock.

I was raised up believing I was somehow unique. Like a snowflake distinct among snowflakes. Unique in each way you can see. And now after some thinking I’d say I’d rather be a functioning cog in some great machinery. Serving something beyond me. But I don’t, I don’t know what that will be.
I’ll get back to you someday soon you will see.
